Some of my favourite childhood memories are linked to Oostduinkerke, a quaint seaside village on the Belgian coast.
It is not one of the most well-known seaside towns on the Belgian coast but it holds special meaning. I’ve been visiting here for over 20 years and am eternally grateful.
You have everything you’d need here for a seaside getaway, from an amazing butcher shop to an array of bakeries, to independent shops to a local supermarket for all your needs. I can’t even list all the great restaurants and tea rooms because there is an abundance.
If you want to get away from the crowds you’ll find in bigger spots like Ostend or Knokke, then Koksijde-Oostduinkerke is such a treat.
Make sure to check it out if you are visiting Belgium: https://www.belgiancoast.co.uk/destinations/koksijde-oostduinkerke
With love, Marie
