I’ve been to Liverpool twice now, and something about this city has captured my interest not only because of its connection to the Beatles or its shopping centre but the atmosphere in general. The people are welcoming, the restaurants are lovely, and when the sun is shining, it is glorious to walk along the riverfront.
I went to Tate Liverpool for the first time last Summer; I had been to Tate Modern before, so I knew what to expect. It was nice to be immersed in modern art during my visit and enjoy a lovely cup of tea in the café afterwards.
The museum was initially created to display art from the Tate Collection, which encompasses British art from the 1500s to this day and international modern art. The permanent collection is free admission, whilst temporary exhibitions might require an entrance fee.
With love, Marie
